Well that wasn’t very exciting now was it? As we wrote about over a year ago, Vienna, Austria-based Bplus was working on Plaettchen, one of the first Wiiware titles for the Nintendo Wii’s virtual console. Well, seems a few weeks ago the game was released, to little press or fanfare whatsoever.

PLÄTTCHEN – twist ’n’ paint is a puzzle shooter with more than 100 hours and over 300 levels of gameplay for up to 8 players and available for around 1400 points via the Nintendo Wii virtual console shop.

Bobblebrook, a relative newcomer to the Vienna, Austria games development scene, has launched as of May 1st! Consisting of childhood friends Philipp Seifried and Markus Mundjar, Bobblebrook aims to release new and innovate Flash games every four to six weeks, focusing on unusual ideas and concepts. So far, they have three games launched, “A Good Hunch”, featuring two time-traveling goats in a platform environment, “Twizzle”, a puzzler based on pushing a sphere through various circular orbigs and “Drifts”, a re-imagining of a previous game released several years ago by the duo.

That was quick! If rumors are to be believed, less than a year after the opening of 10tacle Vienna the studio has already been scuttled.

For now the 10tacle Vienna site is still up, with a link directing to the 10tacle mothership and an ominous “coming soon” message. It appears we’re sadly scratching one more games studio out of the Vienna industry, good luck to all of those affected by this.

Update 1: The as-yet unconfirmed closure of 10t Vienna could have a lot to do with 10tacle’s financial problems, recently outlined in their restructuring press release from last week, where they announced a 25% reduction in marketing and non-product development staff.
