Though only a moderate success for the Wii, having sold in the area of 350,000 copies worldwide, No More Heroes has grown to become a cult classic for the Nintendo Wii, giving Westerner’s a look at how talented Japanese developers view the mature action market over here, dominated by GTA.

In a recent interview with IGN, Killer 7 director Goichi Suda has revealed some neat little tidbits about his upcoming mature Wii title, No More Heroes. Set to be a violent, open world sandbox, heavily influenced by Rockstar Games’ GTA brand, Suda is promising to make No More Heroes more violent than Manhunt 2, support progressive and widescreen graphics and also make a damn nice looking follow up to Killer 7! Though I’m not a huge fan of mature titles on the Wii, I’m extremely happy to see Nintendo opening up a bit more to mature styles of gameplay.
