Lost Planet

A letter from Capcom has informed us (and just about every other major gaming press on Earth) about the upcoming Lost Planet: Extreme Condition launch party in San Francisco on January 11th. Compete in a huge multiplayer tournament for big prizes and the chance to play against the Lost Planet development team. The first 50 through the door get exclusive t-shirts, the rest just get lots of swag, nerd points and free food and drinks.

Space is limited so you have to RSVP via the Capcom community site, Neovenus Construction, username: Genesis and password: 111.

The party takes place Thursday, January 11th from 8pm - Midnight at the S.F Concourse Exhibition Center - East Hall in San Francisco, California. Have fun and someone grab me a shirt!

Okami

Capcom / Clover Studio’s beautiful “is it art or is it gaming” title Okami is almost upon us, with a release date of September 19, 2006. Utilizing beautifully-rendered woodblock print visuals and produced by Viewtiful Joe producer Atsushi Inaba, Okami takes place in a lifeless world, full of stark greys and blacks, vicious beasts and terrifying scenery. The goal of the player and it’s main character, Ama Terasu, the sun god who takes the form of a wolf, is to bring life back to the world, mainly through boss-fights, which fuel the world’s “life force”, eventually giving colour and life back to the world. This is absolutely one of our top games of the year which we’ve been looking forward to for a long long time.
