i have to admit, after a few hours playing wii sports i think it's a quite amazing concept. i mean, usually my family aren't interested in games *at all*, but walking by and seeing it, they all jumped in and had a blast. i see great things for nintendo if they can keep titles like this coming and raise up some 3rd party support. maybe not the #1, but definitely deserves a spot in the top ten.

I have to say that I don´t entirely agree with Time.
I tried out the Wii for the first time yesterday. And yes, I really like it - it feels closer to being involved in the games - at least a bit. I tried out Wii Sports and Zelda and both seemed ok fine and fun.
But not neccessarily a Revolution (maybe they were right about namin´it "Wii" instead, haha).
The controls are kinda/very jiggy. Playing Wii Golf was pretty damn annoying because the game requires you to be precise and that´s one of the things that the Wiimote is not. You constantly either jab too hard or too soft, and the mote just doesn´t obey the way it should. The boxing is even worse. Also generally the pointer often disappears on the screen and you wave around the room to retrack it - which can be a bit tiring when doing it for the 5th time in 5 minutes...
But the tennis is pretty fun though - just don´t expect to win even though you´re good. The Wiimote is not doing what it should.

Oh well, maybe I was just too excited beforehand about the whole thing and therefore kinda disappointed when finally trynig out the thing.
Just like the Pet Shop Boys I feel like singing: "Is that what is was?"...
