In a completely unexpected, surprising and scandalous move, Jack Thompson has directly emailed Bill Gates (and the press) ordering him to halt the sales of the forthcoming GTA IV sequal on the Xbox 360. In the email, Thompson goes on to say that he’ll take various means in order to prohibit the sale of the game and requests that Gates’ lawyers contact Thompson directly in order to ensure that such sales will be prevented. Can someone say ego-trip? Yikes. No word yet on whether Gates has looked into his spam folder for the email, a process I’m sure would take many weeks and interns to perform. Oddly enough, the email wasn’t sent to Sony, but that’s probably because Thompson is too busy living in the past and expecting McCarthy to rise from the grave.
