According to Sony’s VP of Technology, Paul Holman, there will be a PS4, only, not until at least 2010. Contrary to popular belief Sony aren’t giving up on gaming hardware after the PS3, as many would hope. Among some of the revelations from Holman was Sony’s plans on adding more media center capabilities to the hybrid gaming console, while allowing for more third party applications and hardware to be developed, including the possibility of interactive controllers similar to Nintendo’s Wii controller. He also goes on to talk about how powerful the PS3 is, blah blah blah, but didn’t seem to mention at all how Sony is addressing their deadly supply shortages, which are most definitely attributing to their slow start in this generations console war.

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much favour the Zune Marketplace. The interface is multi-colored, has much more pizzazz, and some great characteristics such as ‘Mixview’ which let you speedily see related cds, tracks, or other users associated to what you are playing. Clicking on 1 of those will center on that item, and one more set of “friends” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar performers, tunes, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also good fun, letting you discover other people with shared preferences and getting friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are playing, which can be enjoyable. People concerned with privacy will probably be relieved to find out you’ll be able to prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits in the event you so choose.
