Nintendo recalls crappy Wii straps

Nintendo has began a recall in the US for the spectacularly thin Wii controller straps, which over-excited Americans are blaming for broken television screens, laptop screens, PDAs and more. Nintendo reacted quietly, by including an improved and slightly thicker strap with later versions of the Wii, but with CNN and major news sources starting to pick up the story, Nintendo has gone into damage control mode. If you were lucky enough to have even gotten a Wii, you can follow the below link and request a new wrist strap, courtesy of Nintendo themselves.
