With over 200,000 players signed up for the US beta, Codemasters and Turbine have opened registration in Europe for The Lord of the Rings Online beta round! LOTR Online allows players to role-play in the ongoing struggle for Middle-Earth, exploring detailed realms and joining storyling characters in an evolving and persistent re-creation of the epic Tolkien world. We’re currently waiting to hear if we’ve been accepted, so you can be sure to hear more from us, as we’re really looking forward to this (and Pirates of the Burning Sea).

This is getting a little more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The user interface is colorful, has far more sparkle, and some cool functions such as ‘Mixview’ that let you speedily see related cds, tracks, or other users associated to what you’re listening to. Clicking on 1 of those will center on that item, and another set of “friends” will come into view, permitting you to navigate around exploring by related artists, tunes, or users. By the way, the Zune “Social” can also be good fun, letting you find other people with shared preferences and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist produced based on an combinations of what all your friends are playing, which can also be enjoyable. People worried with privacy will probably be relieved to know you are able to stop the public from seeing your individual listening habits in case you so decide on.

Hello I just wanted to let you know, I really like the written material on your web site. But I’m using Chromium on a machine operating version 9.04 of Ubuntu and the look and feel are not really satisfying. Not a strong deal, I can still essentially read the posts and search for data, but just wanted to inform you about that. The navigation bar is kind of difficult to use while using config I am running. Keep up the superb work!
